Export Packaging & Global Logistics
A forging that rusts in transit or arrives with a damaged sealing face has failed, however good the metallurgy. Export packing is engineered alongside the part: corrosion protection matched to transit time, and crating designed for the actual handling the consignment will meet.

Corrosion Protection Matched to Transit
Sea freight from Mundra to Europe or North America means weeks of humid, salt-laden air. VCI film, desiccant and rust-preventive oil are specified according to route and duration, so machined faces arrive in the condition they left in.

Crating and Handling
Heat-treated ISPM 15 compliant wooden crates and pallets, with internal partitions that stop parts moving against one another. Weight distribution and forklift access are planned so the crate survives the handling it will actually receive at each transfer point.
Documentation and Ports
Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, material test certificates and inspection reports are prepared as a single pack. Consignments move through Mundra and Kandla, both within convenient road distance of our Gondal plant.
Packing Standards and Corrosion Protection
Export packing is engineered alongside the part. Two things decide it: how long the consignment will be in transit and storage, and how it will be handled at each transfer point.
| Element | Purpose | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| ISPM 15 heat-treated crates | Legal requirement for wood packaging in international trade | Marked with the ISPM 15 stamp |
| Internal partitions | Stop parts moving against one another | Sized to the component |
| VCI film | Vapour-phase corrosion inhibition | Chosen for transit duration |
| Desiccant | Controls humidity inside the packaging | Quantity matched to volume |
| Rust-preventive oil | Protects machined and sealing faces | Removable at destination |
| Forklift access and weight distribution | Safe handling at transfer points | Planned into crate design |
Ports, Transit Times and Incoterms
Consignments move by road from our Gondal plant to Mundra or Kandla, both within a day's haul, then by sea. Transit times vary by destination, and knowing them at order stage lets schedules be planned rather than chased.
| Destination region | Typical sea transit |
|---|---|
| Middle East (Jebel Ali) | 3 – 7 days |
| Southeast Asia (Singapore) | 1 – 2 weeks |
| Europe (Rotterdam, Hamburg) | 3 – 5 weeks |
| United Kingdom | 3 – 5 weeks |
| United States | 4 – 6 weeks |
| Australia | 3 – 5 weeks |
Export Documentation
The documentation pack is prepared as a single set before shipment: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, material test certificates to EN 10204 3.1, heat treatment records, inspection and NDT reports where specified, and any third-party inspection release. We work on EXW, FOB, CIF and DAP terms; most first-time export customers start on FOB Mundra. Where a customer's end client requires witnessing, inspection agencies are accommodated at our works by appointment.
- Invoice, packing list and certificate of origin
- Material, heat treatment and inspection certificates
- Third-party inspection release where required
- EXW, FOB, CIF and DAP terms available
