Power Plant Forging
Power plant components run hot, continuously, for decades. Creep, thermal fatigue and oxidation all act at once, so grade selection and heat treatment discipline matter as much as the forging itself.

Elevated Temperature Service
Above about 400°C, creep becomes the governing mechanism. Chromium-molybdenum grades F11 and F22 are specified because they resist creep and oxidation over a design life measured in decades.
- Creep-resistant Cr-Mo grades
- Thermal fatigue considered in design
- Full NDT on pressure parts
- Long-term certification retained
Pressure Part Discipline
Boiler and steam-side components are pressure parts. NDT, material certification and traceability follow the same discipline as oil and gas work, with third-party inspection routinely involved.
Parts We Supply
Turbine casing hardware, valve and steam line fittings, boiler flanges and fittings, high-temperature fasteners, coupling components and rotor-adjacent shafts and hubs.
Elevated Temperature Changes the Governing Mechanism
Above roughly 400°C, creep — slow permanent deformation under sustained load — begins to govern rather than yield strength. Materials and design margins for power plant service are chosen on that basis, over design lives measured in decades.
| Service | Typical materials | Governing concern |
|---|---|---|
| Steam and elevated temperature | F11, F22 chromium-molybdenum | Creep and oxidation resistance |
| General pressure parts | A105, A350 LF2 | Pressure integrity, toughness |
| Corrosive or high-temperature | F304, F316 austenitic stainless | Oxidation and corrosion |
| Fasteners at temperature | Alloy grades to specification | Relaxation and creep |
Documentation That Outlives the Project Team
Power plant components are audited years after commissioning, often by people who were not involved in the original purchase. Material certificates, heat treatment charts, NDT reports and dimensional records are therefore compiled as a data book per order and retained, so the evidence remains retrievable long after the delivery itself is forgotten.
